Celebration of Life Service at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church
Send FlowersSandra "Sandi" Lynn McCraine, 69, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, formerly of Russellville, passed peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2025, at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in London, with Rev. Bobby Biggers officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in London under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Born on July 13, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, Sandi was the beloved daughter of Troy and Clara Sue (Shrum) Lambert. On May 13, 1978, she married her life's true companion, Michael Timothy "Tim" McCraine, in Batesville, Mississippi. Together, they built a family and a love story that spanned 50 beautiful years.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, her precious granddaughter Brittany Jane Evans Meyers, her brother Sidney Justin Lambert, and her nephew Jared Chandler Crossland.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her husband, Tim; her children, Casey McCraine (Bekah) and Seth McCraine (Jana), both of Russellville, and Claire Minnie (Christopher) of Vicksburg; her sister, Gloria Scott Crossland of Hot Springs Village; nine cherished grandchildren, and one treasured great-granddaughter.
At heart, Sandi was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in nurturing her family. For 22 years, she and Tim lovingly raised their children in the Pless community of London before relocating to Mississippi. Sandi was always a devoted Ole Miss fan. She delighted in family gatherings, music, genealogy, afternoon tea parties, and quiet hours with a good book. Her pets brought her special joy and peace especially her beloved horse, "Bella".
Sandi's faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, she dedicated her heart to serving the Lord, her church, and those in need. While living in the River Valley, she was an active member of Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and later Russellville Christian Center. She also taught Sunday School to young adults, participated in women's and youth ministries, and always sought ways to answer God's call with grace and generosity.
Sandi's life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family would ask memorial donations be made to an organization Sandi herself appreciated and supported: Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, (828)262-1980. www. samaritanspurse.org
