Tammi Titsworth, age 52, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after a long illness, leaving a hole in the world that can never be filled.
She was born November 20, 1972, in Danville to Ralph Cleveland Titsworth Jr., and Nancy Belle Park.
Tammi grew up in Arkansas and earned a B.A. in English from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where she edited the literary journal and was known for her wit and her vivacious personality. After college she pursued an MFA at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She moved to California where she met her husband, Mike Rivas, and she and Mike later returned to Arkansas. She worked as a writer, editor, and entrepreneur. Her clients included NASA, Microsoft and the World Bank.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Mike; her son, Daniel Rivas, of the home; her sister, Frances (Brad) Titsworth-Roberson of Russellville; her brother, Ralph Robert "Rocky" (Kylie Austin) Titsworth of Pottsville; her honorary sister, Shannon Wess of Pottsville; her sister, Teresa Darlene Halbrook of Russellville; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends around the world.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Shinn Chapel. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m., until service time in the chapel.
