Wanda Jean Parker, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend to many, peacefully passed away on July 28, 2024.
Born on November 13, 1939, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to John and Katherine Heath. Wanda lived a life marked by love and kindness. On July 26, 1957, she married Charles Parker, the love of her life, and together they spent over 34 wonderful years in Salinas, California and retired to Russellville, Arkansas in 1992.
Wanda dedicated herself to being a wife and mother and later had a career as a dental assistant, providing care and comfort to her patients with a gentle touch. She was a member of RFA and she also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital.
Wanda was a woman of deep faith, finding strength and peace in her relationship with Jesus. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through challenges and celebrations. Family was of utmost importance to Wanda, and she nurtured her loved ones with unwavering support and thoughtfulness. Her quiet strength and selfless love were evident to all who knew her, always putting others before herself. Wanda's kindness and compassion defined her character.
Wanda is survived by her children: Brian Parker (Peggy), Yvonne Owen (Ron Jr.), Aaron Parker (Sue), and Charlene Eddie. She leaves behind seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Parker; her parents, John and Katherine Heath; her sister, Judy Phillips; and her grandson, Christopher Parker.
A funeral service will be held at Humphrey Funeral Service, 2801 West Main Street, Russellville, Arkansas, 72801, on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. CDT. We encourage all who knew Wanda to honor her memory by sharing their stories and photos on her memorial page. As we grieve her passing, let us also celebrate the joy and love she brought into our lives. Your memories of her will be a comforting reminder of the dedicated, loving, and thoughtful woman we were privileged to know.

I am so sorry about Wanda. I am shocked. I didn't know about it until today, Sun. She was married to my cousin, Charles Parker. A
beautiful lady inside and out.

Bonnie and I will miss Wanda. She was a dear friend that we met in Bible Study Fellowship. She and Bonnie remained friends playing cards and taking a few trips together through the years. May God bless you all in her passing.

Many years ago, I worked for just a few months with Wanda at JC Penney. We worked in the same department and always had a few moment sot share a few laughs. She was helpful and so kind. For many years after that, she would always remember me and speak when we ran into each other around Russellville. We would spend a few minutes catching up on what had been happening in our lives. She was such a lovely lady. I extend my sympathy to you in your loss.
