Christine Rossell Obituary
AGE: 72 • Cherry Hill
Christine Johanna (Rammer) Rossell of Cherry Hill, formerly of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. She was 72. She is survived by her son Charles and his wife Patricia, her grandchildren Robert (R.C), Haley, and Lindsay, and her sister Charlotte.
Christine was born in Philadelphia to the late Elsie and Charles Rammer, and grew up in Palmyra, NJ. She attended Sacred Heart School in Riverton and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1962. Christine went on to attend nursing school at Albert Einstein Medical Center School of Nursing and graduated from The Elizabeth General Hospital and Dispensary School of Nursing in 1967. She married Charles J. Rossell in 1968 and were together happily for almost 33 years until his passing in 2001. Christine was a cancer survivor, and despite having to end her nursing career early due to complications from the disease, her determination and love for her family enabled her to thrive well beyond her terminal diagnosis. She was very involved with her husband in church activities, teaching CCD and being long time members of the Engaged and Marriage Encounter programs. Nothing brought Christine more joy than to see her grandchildren grow up and attend their activities. She had so much love and passion for them that was evident in her conversations with others - both friends and strangers alike. She was loved and will truly be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday morning, Nov. 9, at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 103 Fourth St., Riverton, NJ. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
