Daniel Goffredo Obituary
AGE: 91 • Riverton
Daniel Louis Goffredo, Chemist, Scientist, Inventor Daniel L. Goffredo, 91, of Riverton, NJ, died on Thursday, May 15, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was the beloved husband for over 60 years of the late Phyllis R. Goffredo. He is survived by their three daughters, Mary Louise Bianco-Smith (Ken) of Riverton, Phyllis A. Rodgers (Bryan) of Riverton, Joan E. O'Connell (Bill) of Haddonfield; grandchildren, Michelle Sullivan (Mark) of Moorestown, Thomas Shaw of NYC, Brian Bianco (Nicole) of Moorestown, William O'Connell of Philadelphia, Diane O'Connell of Haddonfield, Stephanie Smith of Collingswood, Kevin Smith of Pennsauken; and (5) great-grandchildren, Julia, Laura and Sophia Sullivan and Luke and Estella Bianco.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ on June 17, 1923, Daniel was the son of Luigi and Mary Miceli-Goffredo. He graduated from Lafayette College with a degree in Chemistry, which he taught at Lehigh University. As a renowned chemist, scientist and inventor, he was awarded many national and international patents during his long career working for chemical and electronic firms in the area, as well as at State College, PA. He was an active Emeritus member of the American Chemical Society. During WW II he served with valor and distinction under General Patton in North Africa and Southern Italy as a member of the 19th Weather Squadron of the Army Air Corps.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Tuesday, May 19th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Wednesday, May 20th between 9:30 am and 10:30 am at WEBER FUNERAL HOME (112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ). A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (103 Fourth Street, Riverton). Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ. Donations may be made in his honor to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice (5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053).

My sympathies in the loss of your father. I'm not sure I am addressing the right family,but I think I was Mary Louise's roommate at Holy Family College.I do remember visiting your home in Riverton, NJ. Losing a parent is so hard but the memories make it easier as time goes by.
