David Thomas Stavros, age 87 of Mt. Laurel NJ, on December 13th, 2020. Beloved husband of Freda Paraskevi Stavros (deceased). Devoted father of Thomas David Stavros (Jacqueline), Olga Polites (Michael) and Andrew Michael Likogiannis (Loukia). Loving grandfather of Lauren Paraskevi Stavros, Pauline M. Polites, John Michael Polites, Maria Voula Likogiannis, and Michael Andrew Likogiannis. Dear brother of Catherine Georgaklis, John Thomas Stavros, and Aristotle Stavros (both brothers deceased). Honorably Discharged from the Army at Fort Meade in Maryland; he then had a stint as a local Camden radio singer in the late 50's with the stage name of David Stevens. Owner of Olga's Diner in Camden and Westmont, and Embers in Berlin, he was a significant sponsor of Greeks during restrictive immigration. David was a founding member of St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, serving as its first Treasurer. His wide-ranging Interests included golf, 19th century classical music, the Red Sox, smoking a pipe, whistling and singing, travel, playing accordion, and indulging his grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 11-12 noon at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street Cherry Hill followed by funeral services at 12 noon, then Interment at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.
