Denise Mansfield Obituary
Denise P. Mansfield, at the age of 71 died peacefully surrounded by family on March 28, 2021. She was born on Palm Sunday and returned to heaven on Palm Sunday. Denise was an U.S. Army Nurse Captain Nursing in 1970-72, where she fell in love with Charles J. Mansfield Jr, who became her beloved husband of 50 years. Denise and Charles were long-time residents of Sewell, NJ while she worked as a nurse for 41 years at the Philadelphia VA Hospital. Two years ago, they moved to San Diego, CA to be closer to their daughter Megan (Mansfield) Kucharski, son-in-law Jeff and grandchildren Benjamin and Samantha. Denise had a heart of gold, prolific love for reading and a passion for volunteering. Denise was able to combine these two passions and volunteered for over 15 years in the St. Teresa Regional School library. She also served as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Eucharistic Minister and delivered communion to those unable to attend mass, a CCD teacher and started the Parish Nurse group at St. Teresa's Parish (now known as Holy Child) in Runnemede, NJ. Denise, Charles and the IHM sisters also started the PB&J parish outreach group.
Private services took place with family in San Diego.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Mansfield. I have so many great memories of track and XC meets, and the many rides to and from practice! I remember Denise and Charlie always playing wiffleball with me, my sister and brother when they lived in Bellmawr. Denise was always very kind to us. I still have the Christmas ornaments she and Charlie gave to us when we were little. Denise was a very sweet and kind person who treated us like family.
