Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.
I will always miss our Ramblers hockey games and the SJMHA where I learned to play. Thank you Eddy for all you did!

Great one was not only a splendid traveling secretary; but also a great friend and a Phillies companion. An honest man devoted to the Phillies and loyal beyond measure. He will be missed by all of us lucky to have known him.

My deepest sympathies to the Ferenz family. Eddie "Spaghetti" was my best buddy growing up in the Phillies Organization. His smile and laughter was infectious. His work ethic was phenomenal. May the thoughts and prayers of family and friends bring you some measure of comfort at this time and in the coming days.

I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie in 1996-97. My daughter Ashley was a HUGH Scott Rolen fan and a friend of mine Judy Donoghue who knew Eddie for over 30 years had me write to him. Within a week Eddie wrote my daughter a letter inviting us to a game and to meet Scott Rolen. It was the most exciting day for all of us. He treated us like "Family". We also got to meet Harry K and Larry Anderson that day. He was a Great Guy and we want to send our sincere condolences to his family.

I have to share more thoughts about Eddie.
When I was a little girl my family wanted something to do "as a family"(the early "60's"??). Acme Markets gave away free(reduced) tickets to the the "Larks" games. Somewhere along the way they met Eddie. Not sure if he was the announcer then.
The "Larks" progressed into the "Philadelphia Rambler" back to Jersey as the "Devils"....with our family at every game (and many of our friends).
My father (Dave White) was a commercial artist and Eddie contracted him to design the program cover each year for "The Devils". Payment was season tickets. Funny, Eddie ate dinner at our house many times.
He was so kind to me. I have wonderful memories of him and all the ice hockey games ....I can still hear his booming voice say "icing" as he announced the games.
What a guy ....so nice to hear other people have fond memories of Eddie.
Sooo ....I am guessing I was about nine years old when I met Eddie ....I am now fifty six ....he's been an icon for a long time.
Sincere thoughts and regards to Eddie.

Eddie was a great friend of mine. He was a driving force to establish the "South Jersey Minor Hockey Association". More than 100 boys ages 6 thru 17 (or more) developed hockey skills and became great gentlemen and citizens. The Lions Club in a So. Jersey town on the way to "the Shore"(I forgot the name) was a major fund source for Ice Time, uniforms, equipment and Transportation for an annual exchange hockey visit to Orangeville Ont.(Canada) . The visiting Americans were seen on CBC at "Hockey Night Canada", I hope there are grown men who will remember the "Start" that They Got.

From my early teens back in the sixties, Eddie was a part of our family. My Dad and he were the creators of the South Jersey Minor Hockey Association and I remember those two on their hands and knees painting the ice at the Ice House in the wee hours. Eddie was a very regular dinner guest at our house. While Eddie was the announcer for the Ramblers (what a voice he had), I was the rink rat and he depended on me to stand in, with a code word, when a called out winning program number went unanswered, to shoot the puck into a hole on the Net. I didn't get to keep the prizes but, holy cow, what fun. Then there were the Habs & Expos tickets that magically appeared. He will be greatly missed.

Steady Eddie discharged his duties with the Phillies in a most efficient manner and still have time, patience and disposition to enjoy life. He made my time in Philadelphia easier and more enjoyable.

I knew Eddy when I was a little girl from the Larks games. He became good friends with my parents and eventually my father designed the front cover of the hockey programs for the minor league teams he represented. Eddy had dinner at our house many times.
He was always so kind to me.
My sincere condolences to his family.
