AGE: 66 • Little Egg Harbor
FURMAN, Elizabeth "Liz" (nee Collins). Of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Suddenly on October 18, 2014. Age 66. Beloved husband of Lew Furman. Devoted mother of Michele Leisse and her husband Jeff and Mike Furman and his wife Leslie. Caring grandmother of Collin, Riley, Liam, Casey, Declan and their dog, Bailey. Dear sister of Pat and Steve Collins.
Elisabeth, Liz, Lizzie or "Elizabeast"(as she was called by her four older brothers on Long Island) worked mostly as a caring mother, wife and friend, but also was employed as a medical secretary for much of her life. She is remembered for her contagious laugh, awesome smile, always using her creativity on projects such as birthday cakes for the grandchildren, and love for everyone. Wherever she lived there was always a long list of wonderful friends. Liz and Lew enjoyed a fun and rewarding marriage for over 40 years. She was most proud of her children, Irish heritage and being recognized as the best UCONN Tennis Fan. Liz would have been the "Best whatever fan" for her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday October 24 from 12-2 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt.73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the St Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105

I'm so sorry to hear the very sad news about liz's passing. MANY years ago, I was their babysitter. Fortunately, I saw Liz and Lew a few years ago at Covered Bridge Swim Club. I was so shocked and saddened to receive the news of Lizzie's untimely passing. I will always remember the fun we had as girls on Long Island while I attended Massapequa High. She was always so much fun to be with. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of her family.
