Elizabeth Kelchner Obituary

KELCHNER, Elizabeth R. (nee Rechtenbach) died Friday, April 9th at the Masonic Home of N.J., at the age of 101. Born in Mt. Holly she was a longtime resident of Pennsauken. She also resided in Ocean City, NJ, after her husband's death, and was a 12 year resident of the Masonic Home in Burlington. Mrs. Kelchner worked for Radio Condenser Company in Camden. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Athene Chapter 201 in Pennsauken and St. John's Lutheran Church in Ocean City. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Virginia Rechtenbach, her husband Eugene and her sisters Harriet Taylor (Richard) and Virginia Griffith (Benjamin). She is survived by her nephews and niece, Benjamin T. Griffith (Mary Jane) of Turnersville, N.J., Richard Lipko (Lucy) of Audubon, NJ., and Carol Zelenski of Haddon Heights. Elizabeth (Aunt Betty) will be missed for her twinkling eyes and mischievous smile that was a trademark of the 3 Rechtenbach sisters. Services for Elizabeth will be held Wednesday, April 14th at the Chapel of the Masonic Home, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by an Eastern Service services at 10:30 with religious services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Locustwood Memorial Park, 1550 Rte 70 West, Cherry Hill, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the PAGE FUNERAL HOME, Burlington.
