Dr. Bennett was the superintendent of CCTS when I first met him. I was a student representative of the Pennsauken campus, who he took the time to meet during our annual open house. He was funny, charismatic, and best of all approachable. It was due to the last quality that I felt perfectly comfortable asking him for a letter of reference to Spelman College. Dr. Bennett took time out of his schedule to find out more about me as a student to write a shining letter of recommendation that I feel solidified my acceptance into that school. I am eternally grateful for this.
To the family: May God continue to provide you with comfort and peace during your time of mourning.

Over the years I worked at CCTS I had many opportunities to work with Dr. Bennett. In every instance he demonstrated his leadership and integrity. He continually put the students in the district first and would find the means to provide the best educational opportunities for them. My sincerest sympathy to his family.

Dear Bennett Family,
I am sending you love in this time. I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Bennett through my mother, Karen Bullock (CCVTS). I was only a teenager then, but I remember him treating me with such kindness and respect. He will remain in my memory as a funny, generous man who challenged me on Jeffersonian democracy and never let me drive his car (smart move on his part). I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.

I first met Gary and Jean(Lynnca) in 1971 when we all lived in the "S" building of the former Ferry Station Apartments in Camden, NJ. Both of our first babies were born while living there as neighbors and friends. Gary was always the epitome of loving husband, father, son, friend and neighbor. His presence will truly be missed amongst us, and though he had retired from working in the Camden County Vocational School
District, Gary never retired from his work for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

"God of us all, your love never ends..Dying, Christ destroyed our death..Rising, Christ restored our life..As in baptism Dr. Bennett put on Christ, so in Christ he is now clothed with glory! We praise God for his loving gift of Dr. Bennett!

The Bennett Family,
My deepest sympathies to your family in ths time of grieve. I had the privilege of working for Dr. Bennett for about 20 years at CCTS. There are not enough words to describe the respect that I had for him and for the fine example that he set for those who worked with him. He cared about the kids who attended CCTS and if he had the opportunity he would always take I few minutes to talk to them. He was a great administrator, loved his family and will be greatly missed. May God bless and keep you during this time of grieve.

God bless you and your family during this difficult time of grieving. I worked at CCTS when Dr. Bennett was there as the Board Secretary/Business Administrator and Superintendent. He was a quiet and private man, but very respected and always cared about the students and employees. The world has lost a great man.
