James Kaliss

AGE: 63 • Wyndmoor, PA

On January 15, 2012, James "Jim" Kaliss passed away suddenly at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Born in Darby, PA, Jim lived at the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in Wyndmoor, PA where he was employed since 1977. He was held in high regards by his colleagues for his work with brain injuries and autism including authoring, illustrating and photographing books on the subject used as the standards throughout the field. In addition, Jim enjoyed writing and reading poetry.

Jim is the beloved brother of Silvia Kaliss, Edward "Bud" Kaliss and his wife, Mildred and Mary Elaine Fury. He is the devoted uncle of Tad, Mike, Mark and Greg.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 1816 Berlin Road (Route 561), Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 where His Funeral Service will be held beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held in the Wyndmoor area at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.moonstoneartcenter.org. Please visit www.healeyfuneralhomes.com for further information.
