John Zampino Obituary
AGE: 46 • Alburtis
John J. Zampino, 46, of Alburtis, PA, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was the husband of Ellen (Kosciolek) Zampino. Born October 4, 1966 in Camden, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Lena A. (Minnite) Zampino and Joseph W. Zampino, of Alburtis. John was a mail handler for the United States Post Office in Moorestown, New Jersey for several years. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield. John enjoyed the beach, fishing and he loved spending time with his sons, Paul and Casimir.
He will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife, Ellen, his father, Joseph, 2 sons, Paul and Casimir, brother, Dominick J. Zampino and his wife, Gilda, of Galloway, New Jersey, nieces and nephew, Cara, Marissa and Dominick Zampino, father and mother in - law, Leonard and Paula (Gergel) Kosciolek, of Northampton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church 22nd & Washington Ave. Northampton. A closed casket visitation will be Friday 6 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Burial will follow in the BVM Parish Cemetery. Contributions: memorials may be presented to the family for The Paul and Casimir Zampino Educational Fund c/o funeral home.

Johnny, I'm going thru some things that undoubtedly YOU would've been my 1st line of consultation. While you were here, you were that special friend in my life where there wasn't much that I left out. You always had the best ear and offered the most honest feedback. Of course, I was always the same back to you and encouraged you in all your changes in life, most especially as you became a husband and father. Your presence is still missed, but we press on. Your children have grown up so much and Paulie is even driving now!!?? I miss you buddy and know that our mutual friends do too. We miss the things we used to laugh about together over the phone especially. Not many could identify, but our friendship was unique since it began in the early 70s!! Sending special thoughts and prayers to ALL who you were special to. Missing you pal. This is the weekend where I so wish you had called me back and returned my calls....

Johnny a year has painfully come and gone. My life has not been the same without our senseless laughter and frequent conversations about our kids, job, families and life... I dont think I will ever truly understand why our lives had to take these turns, but guess I dont get to decide such things. We're taking one day at a time and im very proud of Cazzie, Paul's mommy and your big brother who are still picking up the pieces. They are in my daily prayers.

Halloween has come and gone, thanksgiving, has come and gone, and Christmas has passed with start of a new year. But before the new year could start there was the passing of my father Joseph Zampino on 12/28/13.
3 of the four of us are together. I will be here watching, praying and waiting. With the help of my wife and family the real, true memories of all of these lives will live on.

John and I went to elementry school all the way through HS together. Our lockers were always right next to each other for some reason. And we were always in home room together, since our last names were Y and Z. I only saw you a few times after HS John, but the years of us growing up, joking, laughing and going to school together are all memories flowing back.
