Joseph Labenz Obituary
AGE: 92 Years • Mt. Laurel, formerly of Pennsauken
passed away peacefully at his home on August 19, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Katherine (nee Slook). Devoted father of Edmund J. Labenz (the late Lucille), Kathy Mori (Mark), Karen Labenz and Eileen Childers (Chuck). Loving grandfather of Christopher, Stacie, Jackie and Taylor and great grandfather of Marley, Aria, Madison, Beckett and the late Lucah and Angelina. Dear brother of Eileen Bakanas. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Prior to retirement in 1991, Joseph was employed at Garrett Buchanan Paper Company in Philadelphia for 49 years, retiring as President of the Company. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII. Joseph enjoyed making stain glass, wood working and painting.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday from 7-9 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of All Saints Parish, Church of St. Cecilia, 4824 Camden Ave in Pennsauken. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive Suite 300 Marlton, NJ 08053.
