Lea Fitzpatrick Obituary
Berlin - On December 14, 2017, Lea (nee Mikolajczewski), age 43, beloved wife of Thomas V. Fitzpatrick. Survived by children Brynn & Vaughn Fitzpatrick; mother Joanne of Berlin; father Robert of Sicklerville; siblings Krista of Berlin & Rob of Runnemede; father-in-law Thomas (the late Helen) Fitzpatrick of Atco; brother-in-law Ryan (Kathryn) Fitzpatrick of Moorestown; and nieces & nephews Anthony "AJ", Ellie, Aidan, Daisy & Teagan. Lea was a proud principal ballet dancer for the Vineland Regional Dance Company in her early years. She held a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Coastal Carolina University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Rowan University. Lea was a dedicated teacher and educator. She enjoyed sharing her passion with students and adults each day. Lea enjoyed facilitating many workshops and various conferences, as well as her work with Princeton University's Molecular Outreach Program for teachers. Lea retired as an Administrator for Pine Hill Schools, where she formerly served as Curriculum Supervisor/Assistant Superintendent. Lea is most proud to have the eternal privilege of being wife of Thomas, and mother of Brynn and Vaughn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation with the family on Monday evening 6-8pm at the: Ora L. Wooster Funeral Home, 51 Park Blvd., Clementon, NJ 08021. There will also be a visitation Tuesday morning 9:15-9:45am at St. Simon Stock Parish, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009. A Memorial Mass will begin at 10am. Inurnment: Berlin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Metavivor Research & Support Inc., 1783 Forest Drive #184, Annapolis, MD 21401 (metavivor.org). The news that Lea died saddened me more than I can express. Lea was woman so filled with life, energy and enthusiasm. She was a caring person who always put others before herself. Lea began her career as administrator during a time when the NJDOE was demanding change; however, Lea always accepted the responsibility to implement new regulations. Also, she provided support to ensure that our teachers and administrators were equipped to successfully enact new programs associated with the new regulations. It was a privilege to have known Lea as a coworker and friend. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers will always be with Lea and her family.
