Mark Colangelo Obituary
Cherry Hill - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 22, 2018. Predeceased by his beloved parents Larry & Olga Colangelo; Devoted brother of Karen Colangelo - Hinger ( Donald), Larry (Laura) Colangelo and Christopher (Elaine) Colangelo; Dear uncle of Nicholas Hinger (Andrew Carroll), Melissa Hinger, Larry Colangelo, Christina (Garrett) Mull, Anthony (Katie) Colangelo, Christopher Colangelo, Michael Colangelo and Colton Colangelo; Great uncle of Lucas & Brady Mull.
Mark was a very successful hair stylist and makeup artist who owned Marco Le Salon in Cherry Hill for many years he later went on to become an instructor with Empire Beauty Schools. He was a sports enthusiast especially the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies & Flyers. He had a passion for life and his family. His sister and her family took pride in caring for Mark until his final breath.
Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM & Friday from 9:15 to 10:15 AM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of Sacred Heart, 1739 Ferry Avenue in Camden. Entombment Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill. I was very saddened to learn of Mark's passing, just this morning as I attempted to reach out to him after several decades. I met Mark when we attended Glassboro State College. We hit it off almost immediately. Moreover, I was always impressed with Mark--he was always dressed to the nines, jet black hair always styled to perfection, and his car always meticulously clean and shiny. I loved Mark's personality and sense of humor and his compassion for others. Unfortunately, we lost touch as is the case with so many of us. I only regret not reaching out or looking him up via social media.
My deepest condolences to the Colangelo family. The world lost one of the classiest and most personable guys I knew.
