I am so sorry to hear about Matty. I know this has to be the worst time ever but, try to remember that Matty is in Heaven with God. He is looking down on you and the rest of the family. I really do believe that he will always be with you. He is your own angel now. Pray to him to help you through this terrible time. Matty loved his family so much! He was great young man.
Matty- When you are in heaven look for my niece Kelly she has been with God for 2 years now. She was 12 when she died of a brain tumor. She would just love to be your friend in heaven. Give her a big hug from us all!

Cindy, I was absolutely stunned today when I opened the Temple Emanuel Bulletin and saw Matthew's name. My heart just broke for him and for you and Jay and Rachel. Please know that although I was not in touch, I had been thinking about you and Matt all these years. I am so sorry to hear that he finally lost the battle. If you feel like it, get in touch with me, I would love to hear from you; of course only if you felt like it. I am so sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to the Schechter family. I only knew Matty as a boy as we were neighbors in Adams Farm. What a beautiful soul he was. I can still remember his smile. I wish you all the best in this difficult time...

Dear Cindy and Family,
I cannot begin to tell you what an inspiration Matt was to me as I have been fighting cancer for 10 yrs now. He was one of my silent heroes, and I shared his battle with my onocologist. He was brave beyond his years and fought a good battle. Your family and you were the most supportive people I ever could imagine. Matt's passing has affected more people than you can realize. My sympathy goes to your family and you. Matt is free of pain and running with the angels. May the arms of Heaven surround you during this difficult time.

North Carolina and I know the bigness of her heart and soul. Matty had the best Mom ever and someday they will be joined again in Heaven. Prayers for the whole family.

I never really met anyone besides his father when they came up to my job. My name is jessica brown. We bowled the last tournament together and was looking forward to the one coming up this month. The last time we talked I told him to keep on rocking and we were gona kick butt in the tournament!!! Bowling was our connection =) he and his father coming in made me smile. He loved wen I would ask him to take his hat off. Wow ='( he made me smile!!!!! My heart and prays go out to your family!!! <3!!!!

to the Schechter family...im melissa's daughter(wykedangeleyez)Brittany...ive never met matty face to face, but i have talke to him online a few times...& i am so sorry for your loss...he was such a strong, kind, gentlehearted person & it is a sad thing that we lost him,it truely is...for such a young life to be cut short, but hes in a better place, hes not in pain, & hes watching over you all...remember how much he loves you...remember the GOOD times, dont dwell on the bad. matty has truely inspired me to do better with my life...if he could do it so can i...he will be dearly missed, & ill NEVER forget him or what he went through to live each day...im so sorry for you all...he will always be in my heart as well as with the rest of you, now he can rest in peace <3

i've know you (cin) for more than 20 years on line (wow!) ... i've heard your voice once .. friendships are not necessarily ones that you see the person daily; there are ones that the person is there when you need them.. i am here for you as you were there for me. i only read about matt so didn't know him personally. thanks for sharing him..

I know there are not enough words to express the deep sorrow you feel over the loss of Matty. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Matty was just as much a part of AOL OPEN CHAT as anyone....we were all his aunts and loved him so...and will miss him. I am sure you get some condolence that he is out of pain. His illness was his life these past few years, no life for a wonderful young man at Matt. May he now find peace without pain, and may he find love in God.
Again, you are all in my prayers and thoughts...please know that in my own way and because of the way Cindy kept us all posted on Matty's condition, I loved him too. He will be missed by a lot of people...he was a wonderful young man.
