Patricia Olt Obituary

Patricia Olt

AGE: 69 •

She was a mom for the ages: given a few scraps of material and a sewing machine Pat could put together the greatest of costumes; everything from Princess Leia to teddy bears to cats. She was active in the Girl Scouts and was known as the "Cookie Mom". Pat loved to cook and entertain: her ham and cabbage was the best.

Generous to a fault, Pat's home was always open to anyone who needed it. Her thumb was green with a yard full of Marigolds, Impatiens and Begonias. Pat's smiles were infectious; at the nursing home they'd position her by the elevators to brighten everyone's day. She also had a musical side: Pat loved Barry Manilo and Engelbert Humperdinck and danced on American Bandstand. Later years found her palling around with her best friend, Bandit, the Golden Doodle.

A young Patricia Atzert met a guy at the Riverside skating rink. She and Robert would marry and be blessed by a son, Thomas and a daughter, Debra (Jim) Vukich. She is survived by her siblings, Bobby, Katie and Mary. Come celebrate 69 great years Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-10 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Beverly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. at Jesus the Good Shepherd, St. Joseph's Church, Beverly. Donations to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (hdsa.org) will be appreciated.

A better neighbor and friend you could not find. She made a Ragety Ann for our Anne when she was born, yes she could sew any thing. I look across the street and remember her on the porch. May she rest in peace. Keeping her, Debbie & Tommy in our prayers. Carolyn & Paul Skalko
