Frank Schmidt just told us the sad news about your son. We are so sorry for your loss. Mary and I tried several times over the years to locate you- without success. We are still in California.

When we pledged our vows to each other almost 28 years ago, we made a promise to love, honor and cherish each other during good times, bad times, in sickness and in health. We kept that promise to each other, honey. Lord knows that we've been through it all and we learned through this journey with cancer that we can withstand anything. Our love for each other grew beyond what anyone else could ever imagine. I am so blessed to have had you in my life. Together we have raised wonderful children. God has blessed us so much. We have so much to be proud of! We did our job and we did it good, side by side! I am so proud of you. You fought the very best way that you knew how. You got tired and it was time to go home to be with our Lord. My biggest wish came true. I prayed and prayed and God answered my prayers. You found your peace and were freed of all your fear when you opened your heart to the Lord. He was always there...He was just waiting for you. He is an awesome God and very patient, indeed! (smile) You received the best Gift ever and now you are free. I love you with all of my heart and will miss you terribly until we meet again. I know you're building me a big house in heaven :) Make sure that you get Charlie, Gordon and Jon to help you :D Kimmy can decorate for us :) I promised you before you left that I will take care of our children and I will not let you down, honey. I know that you'll help me every step of the way...I know that, because you said so. I love you from here to heaven. Always and Forever Yours, Kelly
