Albert "Bob" J. Edwards, 91, of Barling, AR, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was born on February 8, 1923.
He lived in Evansville until 1975, when he was transferred to the Fort Smith, AR Whirlpool Plant as a foreman in the tool and die department, from which he retired in 1986. He served as a flight engineer on a B-24 Bomber in WWII, flying missions over Germany. He was a member of Woodlands United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, a 32nd Degree mason, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Bob is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Brenda and husband, Steve Kuehn, of Viera, FL; sons, Gary and wife, Connie Edwards of Viera, FL, and Ronald "Joe" Edwards of Boonville, IN; sister, Dorothy Lawrence of California; as well as ten grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit 10:00 AM - 12:00 pm, Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park with Military Honors performed by the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club.

We cant thank you guys enough. Forever in our hearts we will hold Bob and his wife, for there last gift was given to us. I will never forget being pregnant with brax and coming to church and sitting with Bob to have breakfast at Woodlands. I love you guys- Lee Rector and Braxton and Phillip Glass
