She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the General Electric drafting division prior to her marriage. She was a homemaker while her children were young and then went to work as a substitute paraprofessional in the Pittsfield Schools for many years. She also worked with her sister-in-law catering at the Italian American Club. Peggy was a champion speed skater during her high school years and was a Winter Carnival Queen contestant. She was a quilter, seamstress, avid gardener and enjoyed cake decorating. She enjoyed animals and was a dog breeder, raising beagles. Peggy also liked to travel and watch the Red Sox and Patriots play. One of the greatest joys of her life was her family, especially her two grandchildren. She married the love of her life, George W. Drosehn July 17, 1965 in Richmond. In addition to her husband, George, of 50 years, Peggy is survived by two daughters, Marciane Kelly of Longmeadow, MA and Holly Drosehn of Pittsfield, her grandchildren, Riley Kelly of Durham, NC and Shea Kelly of Long-meadow, MA. She leaves her brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Carole Drosehn of Dalton, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. It's been many years since I have seen Peggy, but she stands out as one of my favorite patients I have had in my career as a nurse. When I worked at Berkshire Place, I always looked forward to my time with her. I
loved her sense of humor and her devotion to her husband and family and their devotion to her. She was a great lady. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends. RIP my dear Peggy.
