Mount Vernon, Ill.
Carson Walker Harl, 80, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Harl was born September 11, 1932, in Burnt Prairie, Illinois, to the late Joseph and Minnie (Walker) Harl.
Carson retired from Bristol Myers in 1994. After retiring he was the proprietor of the Roundabout for 12 years.
Surviving Carson are his wife of 62 years, Hester Harl; a son, Randy (Patricia) Harl, of Mt. Vernon; grandson, Jody (Becca) Harl; and a sister, Ruby Schell, of Dahlgren, Ill.
In addition to his parents, Carson was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Harl in 2012.
Friends may visit with the family from 1 until 6 p.m. on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Burnt Prairie Cemetery in Burnt Prairie, Illinois.

I am very sorry to learn of the passing of Uncle Carson. He was always a great guy to be around, and I have many precious memories of the times I shared with Carson, Hedy and my cousin Randy. Mary Alice and I want to express our profound sympathy to the family. Rest assured that Hedy and Randy are in our hearts during this difficult time.
