I'm so sorry. Such a likeable guy.
Was just recalling a few days ago a birthday party for Dianna being held in the late 70's when he smoked hundreds of chicken legs...the way they should be done. It inspired my barbeque technique to this very day!
May God comfort the family~

When a loved one passes, it is always very difficult for family members. Sorry for your loss. At this time, the best friend that a bereaved family can have is our Heavenly Father, God. He invites you throw all your burdens on him, and he will sustain you in this time of grief. May you find comfort through prayer to him. God is the hearer of prayer. (Psalms 55:22; 65:2).

I loved him, he loved me always made me feel like family! Charlie (aka; Papi, Big Daddy, Papa Smurf) lived life at it's fullest, never ever meeting a stranger and shared his passion for life and love with us all! The memories of him serenading us with his love songs, taking our money at Tonk, his collection of dapper golf hats, his ode to Michael Jackson's moonwalk (ANYWHERE & EVERYWHERE he'd go) and his constant favorite saying of "Aren't we having fun, don't we always have fun" will be etched in our hearts forever!!! Thank You God, for allowing us to be showered in his love, light and spirit, Amen!
