Curtis Rogers Obituary
Cynthiana, Ind.
Curtis Wayne Rogers, 68, of Cynthiana, Ind., born to Curtis Wilbur and Betty Ann (Irvin) Rogers on September 26, 1948, in Poseyville, Ind., went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his home in Cynthiana, Ind. He passed peacefully surrounded by family.
He was a proud United States Marine Corp. Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and retired from Whirlpool Corporation in 2010,after 40 years of employment. He attended North Posey High School and was a member of the Wadesville General Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family, and playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Linda (Rumble) Rogers; a daughter, Sheila (Alan) Schapker, of Wadesville, Ind.; a son, Robert Rogers, of Cynthiana, Ind.; a brother, Mike (Paula) Rogers, of Cynthiana, Ind.; two grandchildren, Jace and Jillian Rogers; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; stepmother, Virginia "Jenny" Lee Rogers; and a great-nephew, Dylan Rogers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Ind., with burial in Bethsaida Cemetery near Stewartsville, Ind. Pastor Kevin Evitts officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday, April 15, 2016, at the funeral home.
