Dorothy E. (Bell) Thomson Lansdown

Evansville, Ind.

Dorothy E. (Bell) Thomson Lansdown, 91, of Castaic, California, passed away April 20, 2018. She was born on July 23, 1926 in Lukin Township, Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Inda Schwartz Bell and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1945. She was a retired nurse and graduated from Welborn Memorial Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. On February 20, 1950 she married Michael J. Thomson. After 45 years of a happy marriage, Michael passed away on November 3, 1995. On May 11, 2002 she married S.E. Lansdown. They had five-and-a-half years and he passed away on December 25, 2007.

She was preceded in death by two husbands; her parents; brothers, Virgin Bell and Ivan Bell; an infant brother, George R. Bell; and a daughter, Nancy C. Thomson.

Dorothy is survived by daughters, Martha K. Freeman (Bob) of Indiana, Linda D. Ives (C. Al) of Illinois, Rhonda J. Nicely (Winfred) of Indiana, Mary M. Thomson of Indiana; sons, Dennis M. Thomson (Sandra) of California, David K. Thomson (Colleen) of New Mexico, John V. Thomson (Stacy) of Virginia; three nieces; three nephews; twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Howell of Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 7, 2018 at Alexander Memorial Park – Heritage Chapel officiated by Mark Richison with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at the park.
