Gary Joe Stuckey Sr.

Evansville, Ind.

Gary Joe Stuckey Sr., 70, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Gary was born in Evansville, Ind. on September 8, 1946, to the late Ellis and Eva Mae (Woehler) Stuckey. He worked for Parson Food Sales for 37 years before retiring and working part time at Old National Bank in the mailroom, which he enjoyed tremendously. Gary was always active and enjoyed bowling and tennis. In his later years, he enjoyed playing poker with his buddies at the VFW. Gary was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church for 37 years.

Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilou (Parson) Stuckey; daughters, Sharon Stuckey and Shelley Stuckey; sons, Gary Stuckey Jr. (Deana), Scott Stuckey (Dana), and Matt Stuckey (Liz); brother, John Stuckey (Peggy); sister, Janet Schneider (Gerald); sister-in-law, Marti Stuckey; grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Terry, Hayden, Alex, Eva, and Ender Stuckey and Daniel, Jason and Tim Wargel; many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Terry Stuckey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715, with Father Zach Etienne and Father Ted Tempel celebrating. Entombment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN, 47711, and again from 9 a.m. until time of Mass on Monday at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL, 60674, or to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, 301 E. Main St. #100, Louisville, KY, 40202.
