Gilbert Humpston Obituary

Gilbert I. "Sonny" Humpston, age 77, of Henderson, KY. passed away at 1:27 PM, Sunday, November 14,2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, IN.

Mr. Humpston was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Marguerite Humpston.

He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, a WWII US Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Worsham Post #40 where he served on the burial honor guard.

Survivors include: Wife of 57 years: Dyan Humpston Henderson, KY.

2 Daughters: Dana L. Hall Henderson, KY
Jan Vibbert and husband Kraig Henderson, KY

2 Grandsons: Brenan J. Hall Lousiville, KY.
Mathew L. Hall Kuttawa, KY.

2 Granddaughters: Erin Day and Emily Day Henderson, KY.

1 Step-Daughter: Karley Vibbert Henderson, KY.

1 Great Granddaughter: Kaitlyn Hall Henderson, KY.

1 Brother: Delbert Humpston and wife Betty Henderson, KY.

Nieces

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Henderson, KY. Reverend Ted Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Henderson, KY. Full military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be: Brenan Hall, Mathew Hall, Kraig Vibbert, Sammy Williams, Ed Phillips, and Leland Leslie. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Spaulding, James Busby and Richard LaFlair.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: American Cancer Society or Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
