So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Condolences to the family. Knew
Jim from about 7th grade on when he and his parents lived across from Bayard Park and on through Bosse High when his parents had moved to outer Lincoln. He was always a unique person and so much fun to be around. Sometime around our Sophomore year he took several of us to a new restaurant he had found on I think 3rd Street (Tomaso's comes to mind ?) where a new food called "Pizza" was being introduced. He had totally fallen in love with Pizza and what others left on their plate that night he finished for them. So it didn't surprise me over the years that he became known as the "Pizza Man of Evansville". He will be missed.

It was nice to see so many of his friends at the service.....special thanks to the Hadi Shriners, Masonic Lodge 64, and Ziemers. Just remember....we can still all honor him by stopping by Una Tu Pizza and getting one of those awesome pizzas or stroms:) Kevin will be happy to help you!!

Jim and I were in the same class at Bosse. I haven't seen him in years but he and my brother, Ben Billings, were good friends. Just a note to his family to say he was a fun, and nice person. Sorry I hadn't seen him in a long time even though I returned to Eville after I retired.

I remember Mr. Jim when he had the pizza shop on Lincoln, where McFarland Baptist church is now. I was a teenager then. A lot of us teenagers used to go in Mr. Jim's shop to get pizza. Whenever I would order a pizza, I wanted Mr. Jim to make my pizza. No one else could make those pizzas like Mr. Jim and he was always friendly when you went in there. Family, I didn't know him personally but I loved his pizzas. I will be praying for you all that God will give you strenght through your time of grief.

I don't even know if he knew the impact he had on our lives. He was a wonderful man to know, and he was always there for us (Kevin is my dad). I learned so many simple lessons just by watching and listening to him over the years. His heart was bigger than he was. He didn't meet many strangers and never hesitated to show kindness to the next man! It was an honor getting to know him and working for his business! See you again some day! RIP Jim!

To Jim's Family
I know how hard it can be to lose a loved one...but know one day you will all be together again...I only knew Jim for about 3 years as a mariner...I would pick him from time to time at the temple to take him to the river camp...it was always a pleasure to talk to him on the way to the camp...I really hate to sea him go...my thoughts and prayers will be with brother Jim and his faimly...God Bless you all.
