He was the beloved husband of Marjorie; wonderful father to Douglas (Cindy), Pamela, Jana (Carmen), Kimberly (Kim) and Cary (Linda); proud grandfather to Jay, Bret, Mike, Sean, Jordan, Dyana, Sam, Drue, Bonnie and Jake; and great-grandfather of Ally and Matt.
Harold was preceded in death by his first wife of fifty-three years, Bonnie Helms, his sister, Roberta Feuerbach, his brother, Alton, and his parents, Frederick and Adeline Steinmetz.
Harold and Bonnie were both raised in Chandler, Ind.
Harold retired as an engineer from McDonnell-Douglas after over forty years. He was a life-long learner, avid tennis player and world traveler.
He loved his family dearly and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 9 from noon until 2 p.m. at Koehler Funeral Home, Perigo Chapel, 7022 Heim Road, Chandler, Ind. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m.
