Evansville, Ind.
Janice Kay Steele, 64, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Golden Living Center Woodlands.
Janice was born in Lafayette, Indiana on January 2, 1953 to the late Cecil A. and Barbara Rose (Braun) Steele. She graduated from North High School in 1971 and worked at various cafeterias and stores throughout the Evansville area. Janice was a member of Harwood Baptist Church and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Julia Kay Marolf (Ed) of Colorado; her son, Jeffrey Wayne Fleeger (Leigh) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Beverly Smith (Bill) of Indianapolis, IN, Sandra Steele, Sharon Merz (David) both of Illinois; grandchildren, Kaitlin Renae Marolf, Andrew Blake Fleeger, Madalyn Elizabeth Baker; and great-granddaughter, Emma Rose Marolf.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her adopted parents, William A. and Olla Venetta (Lewis) Steele; and a brother, William P. Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Karl Crowe officiating.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 12 Noon until service time on Friday.
