Lillian Partenheimer Obituary

Lillian Partenheimer

Rockport Indiana

Lillian Partenheimer, 92, passed away September 21, 2017 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport, IN.

Lillian was born on April 2, 1925 in Hopkinsville, KY, to Carl and Fonnie Emma (Joslin) Keach.

Lillian received a bachelor's degree from Murray Women's College in Murray, KY. Lillian recruited her uncle to help convince her mother to let her attend college.

Lillian worked as a librarian, worked at the Evansville newspaper, Evansville morgue, and was a camera engineer along with her husband. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and attended Bethel United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, loved to square dance, and was a Girl Scout troop leader.

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albert Phillip Partenheimer in 2011.

Lillian is survived by her daughters, Emma Lou Bednarik and her husband, Andrew, of Seymour, CT, and Lillian Kay Freschly and her husband, Dean, of Rockport; grandchildren, Amanda and Emily Bednarik, Jonathan Freschly, and Joy Dauble; great-grandchildren, Brystal, Avery, and Daniel.

Services are at 11:00 A.M., September 25, 2017 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, IN., with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.

Visitation is from 9:00 A.M. until service time, September 25, 2017, at the funeral home.

Lillian insisted that her girls learn proper spelling, grammar, and writing. Incorrect verb tenses were corrected immediately. Words like can't or ain't were not allowed.

They were told to never say "I can't", say "I can".

Though she truly could not do much her final few years of life, now in the arm of Jesus, she can once again boldly say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me."

Your Mom had an influence on me. When I came over to play at your house in Evansville, she showed me a different way of life. I am sorry for your loss. She was a strong woman.

I am unable to be with you as your next journey begins Mom. Distance has kept us apart physically but could not keep us apart in our hearts. We will be together again in heaven. Love you and miss you always. Lou

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" (Isaiah 61:1, 2) sustain your family during this challenging time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
