Michael Cody, 62, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital from Cancer. He was born March 2, 1951, in Evansville, Indiana.
Michael graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1969 and USI in 1991.
He was a US Air Force veteran.
Michael retired from Atlas Van Lines as an IT Developer, after 13 years of service.
He was a member of the Evansville All-White Rugby Football Club and ran twice in the Chicago Marathon. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Men's Fendrich Golf Club.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Johna Joines and Donna Henderson of Newburgh, IN; brothers Thomas "Tom" Cody and Steve Cody all of Evansville.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 613 Cherry Street, officiated by Fr. Stephen Lintzenich, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the church.

I met Mike through the Atlas Golf League we were teamates for many years I enjoyed playing golf with him , Mike was very competitive when it came to golf every time I hit good shot Mike would have a good comment,and every time I missed a short put he let me have it DOOH BILL!!I will miss you like so many others will our prayers are with you and with your family.

I went to grade school at St. Mary's and high school with Mike. He was a true gentleman and one of the nicest men I will ever meet in my lifetime. I remember his laugh more than anything. He was a true friend.

Mike was my dear friend at Rex Mundi High School. Sat with him at our "All School Reunion" in 2011 and he remarked that the girls at the table were some of his closest friends in high school. Made me very sad to here of his passing. RIP Mike!
