He was production manager in the beverage and bottling industry. Orville was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, the Germania Maennerchor, United Commercial Travelers for over 60 years and a retired Teamster. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and member of the VFW 1114.
He is survived by his son (Col. Retired) Harvey Rosenmeier and his wife, Phyllis, of Warner Robins, Ga.; his grandsons, Steven and Jacob Rosenmeier; his granddaughters, Lisa Roland, Melissa Taylor, Michelle Scales and Ruth Schneider; and eight great-grandchildren.
Orville was preceded in death by his wife, Valada L. in 2005, and his son, Ricky R. in 1991.
Services will be on Tuesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville. Visitation is today from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Elberfeld, Ind., where the Retired Veteran Memorial Club will conduct graveside services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery Fund or St. John's United Church of Christ. Condolences may be made to the family on-line at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com.

Harvey, it was my honor to help to take care of Orville. My life is truely better because it was touched by not only Orville but Valada as well. I will truely miss him and you. Thank you for the chance to be a part of such a wonderful person's life.
