Ronnie Clark Obituary

Ronnie G. Clark

Evansville, Ind.

Ronnie G. Clark, 76, entered into eternal peace on March 21, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. A loving husband, father and Papaw, he will be remembered for a life well lived.

As a teen, he received 3rd place in the state in a roller skating dance competition. He graduated from North High School in 1959 and later attended the Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1965, Ronnie joined the Evansville Police Department, retiring after 20 years of service. He then worked for IMI until his second retirement in 2003.

Ronnie's first love and wife, Brenda Elliott Clark, shared 36 years of marriage prior to her passing in 1999. They raised three children together, enjoying camping and family time. Ronnie loved outdoor activities including duck hunting and fishing. In 2001, Ronnie married Nancy Bryant Clark. In their retirement years, they enjoyed travel in their RV, visiting 49 states and making many new friends, especially the Winter Texans.

Ronnie served his country as a member of the Army Reserves. He was a member of Reed Masonic Lodge, from which he received his 50 year pin. Ronnie was a man of faith and attended Berean Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Nancy (Bryant) Clark of Evansville, IN; sons Rodney (Lisa) Clark and Ryan (Tisha) Clark both of Evansville, IN; daughter Deborah (Randy) Wintner of Carmel, IN; stepsons Scott Qualls and Chad (Kristi) Qualls both of Evansville, IN. His grandchildren brought him much joy. He took pleasure in attending their activities and was proud of their accomplishments. These grandchildren include Jonathan, Justin, Ashlyn, Allie, and Wyatt Clark; Raygen and Rhett Wintner; Evan, Kate, Dylan, and Jillian Qualls.

A celebration of his life will be held at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E Diamond Avenue. Visitation will be Sunday from 12 until 6 PM, with a Masonic Memorial Service at 6 PM. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 AM at Browning Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Dave Siegmann and Evangelist Joel McGarvey. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park where the Fraternal Order of Police will conduct police funeral honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider contributions to Berean Bible Church, 700 N 12th Ave, Evansville, IN 47712 or Bible Doctrines to Live By, 895 W. River Center Dr. NE, Comstock Park, MI 49321 or to the American Cancer Society, 5250 Vogel Rd. Ste. A, Evansville, IN 47715.

The family wishes to thank the ICU staff at Deaconess Gateway Hospital for their kindness during his stay there.
