Tammy Jo (Lewis) Modlin, 43, and her daughters, Montana Ann Modlin, 16, and Jeanne Carlopoli, 3, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. Tammy was born March 28, 1972, in Indianapolis, IN to Donald R. and Sherry L. Lewis. Montana was born August 31, 1999, in Evansville, IN to Tammy Jo (Lewis) Modlin and Mark A. Modlin. Jeanne was born February 28, 2012, in Altamonte Springs, FL to Tammy Jo (Lewis) Modlin and Patrick Carlopoli.
Tammy graduated from Castle High School in 1990 and the University of Southern Indiana in 1996 with a degree in Political Science. Montana attended Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL and Jeanne was a sweet and precious child that was loved by everyone who knew her.
Tammy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Ellis Lewis and Gene F. Burris; and grandmother, Clara B. Borders. Montana was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gerald Modlin, great-grandfathers, Gene F. Burris and John Ellis Lewis; and great-grandmother, Clara B. Borders. Jeanne was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Gene F. Burris and John Ellis Lewis; and great-grandmother, Clara B. Borders.
Tammy is survived by her mother, Sherry Lewis of Bloomington, IN; father and stepmother, Donald and Linda Lewis of Newburgh, IN; grandmother, Beulah F. Lewis of Newburgh, IN; stepbrothers, Ron Inge and Brad Inge of Henderson, KY; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Montana is survived by her father, Mark Modlin; half brother, Breyden Modlin; grandmother, Ann Modlin all of Richland, IN; grandmother, Sherry Lewis; grandparents, Don and Linda Lewis; and uncle, Wesley Modlin.
Jeanne is survived by her father, Patrick Carlopoli of Fort Myers, FL; grandparents, Eileen Carlopoli of Las Vegas, NV, Sherry Lewis, Don and Linda Lewis; uncle, Noah Carlopoli; and aunt, Kelsey Carlopoli.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Don Williams with burials following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of these tragic losses. I have known Tammy since high school and she was always such a happy and relaxed soul with a pleasant smile on her face. Please know that my family sends their prayers and condolences and we will always remember her and Montana in a very happy and peaceful way. No one ever has any idea of why these senseless acts ever happen and we all hope that God blesses your family through these tough times...We also hope that all of you affected by these sad events can find a light to guide you through such tough circumstances.
