Von Siekmann Obituary
Evansville, Ind.
Von E. Siekmann, Sr., 75, of Evansville, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at his home. He was born to Edward H. Siekmann, Jr. and Creola O. Morris on May 12, 1938 in Evansville.
Von was an inactive member of the FNCC, a US Army Veteran, member of American Legion Post #84 and a life member of River Bend Association. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jo "Cecelia"; daughters, Kelly S. Lehman (Todd), of Evansville, Kimberly M. Miller (Scott), of Prospect, Ky., and Jackie Fruit (Dwight), of Henderson, Ky.; sons, Jay Siekmann, of Loxahatchee, Fla., and Cole A. Siekmann (Carissa), of Indianapolis, Ind.; dear friend and mother-in-law, Mary Louise McDaniel, of Evansville; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714, and will continue Monday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 100 E Michigan St, Evansville, IN 47711.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm Monday, April 7, 2014, at the church with Rev. Chad Eckels officiating.
Private burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
Jo and Von would like to extend their thanks to Dr. David Schultz, Dr. Maqbool Ahmed and Deaconess Hospice for their care.
