Barbara Ann Edwards, age 58, passed away surrounded by family January 6, 2025. Barb was born to Earl and Charlene (Rittenberry) Shope February 6, 1966, in Bucyrus, Ohio. Barb married the love of her life, Kevin Edwards, September 13, 1986.
Barb is preceded in death by her mother Charlene Shope; brother, Kenny Shope; and sister, Sherry Shope. Barbara is survived by husband of 38 years, Kevin Edwards; children, Nina (Steven Marquis) Edwards and Josh (Ashley Alsbaugh); father, Earl (Mona) Shope; grandchildren, Camden Mahley, Oaklie Mahley, Na’onna Edwards, and Emilia Edwards; brothers, James Shope and Brian (Becky) Shope; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Barb was a graduate of Bucyrus High School 1984. Her first job was with the McGinnis family at their ceramic shop. She went on to work at Barcliff Industries for years and also a short stint with American Wire. She loved rooting for her football teams, her team being the Oakland Raiders, husband’s team, Cincinnati Bengals, or her brother’s team, Cleveland Browns. Barb had enjoyed tending to her garden and her rosebush was one of her favorites every year. She loved spending time with family and her grandkids and will be deeply missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the American Legion 123 E. Rensselaer St Bucyrus, Ohio 44820 on January 18, 2025, from 1pm until 3pm. Arrangements in the care of Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio.

Kevin, Josh and Nina so sorry to hear about the passing of Barb. She was always a "go getter" and wanted to get things done. She loved her family and is now resting peacefully with several family members and friends. Cherish your memories and share them often. You´re in my thoughts and prayers. Pam

I am so very sorry to hear of Barb's passing, and my heart breaks for you Kevin, Josh, Nina, all the babies, and the Shope and Rittenberry families of course also. Barb was a very sweet soul, and she will most certainly be missed by countless people. May God watch over all of you, and bless you with some peace and love to ease your sorrow.
