Cassandra Brown Obituary

Cassandra L. "Cassie" Brown, age 50, entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at her home. On October 19, 1975 Cassie was born in Bucyrus, Ohio. The daughter of Paul Richard and Pamela Jo (Chance) Zarcone. Cassie received her education from Bucyrus High School and graduated with the class of 1994. Cassie's heart was always full, especially for her family and her cherished fur-babies, who were constant companions in her life. Her nurturing spirit and kindness touched everyone she met. A social butterfly from the start, Cassie was known for her outgoing personality and infectious smile throughout her high school years. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether you were an old friend or someone she'd just met. As a young girl, Cassie found joy and freedom riding horses, forming a deep connection with nature and animals that stayed with her throughout her life. Her adventurous spirit continued into adulthood; she loved hopping in the car for a road trip, whether she was heading to the sunny shores of the Florida Keys or across the country to Washington to visit her daughter. Cassie had a gift for bringing people together. Her home was often filled with laughter, good food, and the sound of football games playing in the background as she hosted her famous watch parties. She was also a devoted fan of 80's hair bands, always ready to relive those glory days at a concert with friends, singing along to her favorite anthems. Cassie will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and her zest for life. She reminded those around her to embrace every moment, cherish loved ones, and never pass up a chance for an adventure. Left to cherish her memory is her loving father, Paul R. Zarcone; beloved children: Melina (Spencer Schroeder) Celestino and Anna Celestino; partner, James Brown; siblings: Paula (Casey) Easterday and David (Vanessa) Zarcone; nephews: Chase and Clay Easterday and Sage Brown; and nieces: Ashley Brown and Nora Zarcone. Cassie was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Jo Zarcone. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to St. Vincent de Paul Society; 342 N. Main St., Marion, OH 43302 and/or the Marion County Dog Pound; 2252 Richland Road Marion, OH, United States, Ohio 43302. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-10:30AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church; 251 Main St., Marion, OH 43302; Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM with Father Daniel Colby, officiating.
