David J. Ash, age 32, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2025. David was born to Tim and Linn (Schiefer) Ash July 1, 1992 in Marion, Ohio. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Ray Ash, Eva Ash, Allan Schiefer, Sandra Schiefer, beloved aunt Jennifer (Schiefer) Harris, and cousin Grace Harris.
David is survived by parents Tim and Linn Ash, sister Rachael (Ryan Herhold) Ash, and fur baby dachshund Annie, that he and Linn raised together.
David was a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School, Class of 2011. He attended Wayside Christian School from K4 through 9th grade. He earned his Associate's Degree while attending high school, and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from The Ohio State University, and was nearing completion of his Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and Cybersecurity. David worked at CoverMyMeds in Columbus as a computer programmer and specialist.
David was a member of New Life Ministries in Colonial Beach, Virginia. David loved the Lord and enjoyed worshiping with his church family. David was always very outgoing and loved attending family and church events. He enjoyed taking vacations and trips with his sister any chance he got. David enjoyed a challenge when indulging in his hobbies, such as crafting intricate Lego figurines, solving Rubiks cubes, and finishing puzzles. He also enjoyed listening to Christian rock and classic rock music. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, and truly had a heart of gold.
The family will be receiving friends from 4PM-7PM Friday June, 13 at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Funeral services are Saturday June 14 at 12PM, the family will also be receiving friends an hour prior to that. Memorials may be made to the Grace Harris-Nichols Foundation at www.graceharrisnicholsfoundation.org There will be a live stream of the service on Facebook.
