Jo Hoffmann Obituary
Jo Anne Hoffmann, age 77, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 8, 2025.
Anne was born February 8, 1948 in Westerville, OH the daughter of Donald and Regina (Bolton) Pierce.
Anne was a woman with a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need-especially those striving to better themselves by earning their GED. Her compassion and kindness touched countless lives.
On July 7, 1973, Jo Anne was united in marriage to the love of her life, Arthur "Art" Hoffman. A proud and devoted military wife, Jo Anne embraced the challenges and joys that came with military life, supporting Art through every step of his service. Together they built a life, raising their three children, filled with love, resilience, and unwavering companionship, sharing 40 cherished years of marriage before his passing.
A gifted artisan, Anne created beautiful pieces of jewelry that she gave away with joy. Her creative talents also extended to crocheting, and she found happiness in the simple pleasures of being around her family, babies and animals of all kinds. Her love for life was as vibrant as her sense of humor, and her ornery spirit was matched only by her infectious laugh that could light up any room.
Above all, Anne's greatest comfort and strength came from her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It was the foundation of her life, and now she rests in His presence, whole and at peace.
Anne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of generosity, creativity, and faith lives on in the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her children: Thomas (Nicole) Hoffmann and Rachel Acosta; grandchildren: Francis Griffin, Amanda Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Cordell Cresswell, and Garrett Cresswell; great-grandchild Adrianna and siblings: Delores Goodyear, Gene Goodyear, Wayne Goodyear, Laura Jane Stewart, Beverly Stewart, Sharon O'Neal, Steve Pierce, Mike Pierce, and Larry Pierce.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents: Donald and Regina (Bolton) Pierce and Gladys Kuhn; her devoted husband Art Hoffmann; daughter Caroline Hoffmann; and siblings: Earl Staley and Linda Jackson.
