Marilyn Gorrell, 85, of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 29, 2024.
She was born on December 15, 1938 to Lloyd and Claribell Ware in Huntington, Indiana. She graduated from Harding High School with her high school diploma.
Marilyn married Leslie Gorrell on June 16, 1957 and together enjoyed 63 years of happy marriage, watching football together and traveling to Ohio State.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leslie Gorrell; parents Lloyd and Claribell Ware; and son-in-law Michael Gatrell.
She is survived by her children Karla Thacker and Phil, Margie Gatrell, Todd (Michelle) Gorrell, and Rusty Gorrell; two sisters Karen (Bill) Murphy and Phyllis Thatcher; grandchildren Danielle Harris (Branon), Ashley Gatrell (Nick), Joshua (Natalie) Gorrell, Justin (Jordan) Gorrell, Brett (Cindy) Gorrell, and Page (Dilan) Gleespen; great-grandchildren Chase Jones, A’shiah Harris, Taevia Harris, Dallas Keith, Nicholas Keith, Benjamin Gorrell, Trinity Gorrell, Melanie Gorrell and Gemma Gleespen; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
