Timothy Gorenflo Obituary

Timothy J. Gorenflo, age 69, went home July 11, 2025. Timothy was born August 13, 1955, to Wilfred "Bud" Gorenflo and Nellie (Sisson) Gorenflo. Tim was an artist, visionary, handyman and owner of The Workshop, and an author. His early work life was spent working with his brother Dan in Virginia and West Virginia restoring log cabins and old plantations. When he was done working for his brother, he returned home to start his lifelong career and an artist and handyman. Tim was a founding member, and 25 plus year president of Mid-Ohio Fine Art Society M.O.F.A.S. Tim was also the director of the Marion Popcorn Festival Art Shows. For his help in restoring the Women's Club Home Tim was named the First and only male member of the Women's Club Home. Tim was an award-winning artist that had many visionary ideas. In 2017 he wrote a book about his adventures in life. Titled, "And then there was the Time, a Chronical of the Boo Boos in My Life. It is comically good read. One of the epigraphs about the book that was included in its printing is as follows: "Tim Gorenflo is a mild mannered artist by day, dreamer by night who bungles through life's adventure, protected by his Guardian Angel "Betty" who was personally assigned by the Almighty God to him after he realized that a few wires crossed in the making of a free spirit." In the most recent years Tim and his sister Kathy have done a lot of "Facelifting" at the Marion Union Train Station Museum. Tim and Kathy were also known as "Alf and Ralph" from the show "Green Acres." Together Tim and Kathy did everything from lawn care and room additions to total restorations. Tim adopted the Village of Prospect as his hometown, and they adopted him. His art gallery "Zenzations in located in Prospect. Tim had big dreams for the little village of prospect. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Karen, sister-in-law Donna, nephews Sam and Ron Hartley, and Angel Cole, and his niece Nettie Gorenflo. Tim is survived by his brothers Daniel and Richard, sister Kathy, 3 nieces Pam, Jamie, and Desiree, 4 nephews Jason, John, Ray, and Steve, 4 great nieces, 7 great nephews along with many cousins and an abundance of friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amber Boes and Robin Agler for all their loving help. The family is also very thankful to all the family, friends, and strangers, for the many cards and donations that were made to assist Tim's final chapter in life. The visitation and Funeral Service for Tim is scheduled to be held at his Art Gallery at 153 E. Water St., Prospect, Ohio, on Sunday, July 20, 2025. The visitation will go from 1pm until 3pm, with the funeral service starting at 3pm. Pastor Steve Whitaker will be officiating. The burial of Time will take place at the prospect cemetery on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 10am. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Boyd Funeral Home to help with the funeral costs.
