Vanessa Silva Obituary
Vanessa Atene Silva, age 29 of Marion, OH, passed away peacefully March 7, 2025 in Marion.
Vanessa was born May 21, 1995 in Marion to parents Efren Silva Sanchez and Michelle Newson.
Vanessa was a 2013 graduate of River Valley High School where she enjoyed playing volleyball and running track. After high school she attended Shawnee State University until 2016. After college Vanessa returned to Marion where she continued to work for local companies.
An animal lover at heart, Vanessa always had a soft spot for her dogs. She loved being a dog mom. Spring was always her favorite time of year; she loved to get out and work in her flower beds. Flowers and gardening were always a passion. She spent many hours working with her dad on his flower gardens and loved to plant flowers for her mother and grandmother for Mother's Day each year. Summertime meant many more hours being outside enjoying the sunshine or sitting on a beach somewhere.
Vanessa, being the oldest sibling, was a mother hen to her younger siblings. She loved to spend time with them and would do anything for them. She was always there when they needed her the most, whether it was advice, money, dinner or a ride, they could always count on her to have their backs. They loved her unconditionally.
