Daniel Cook Obituary

DEFIANCE - Daniel E. Cook, 82, of Defiance passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at his home in Defiance.

He was born on December 10, 1939, to the late Harold and Greta (Griffith) Cook in Montpelier, Ohio. On November 14, 1958, he married Dixie (Hayes) Cook who preceded him in death on January 25, 1996.

Daniel was a faithful pastor at The Pilgrim Holiness Church in Defiance and had pastored in eight different states for 37 years.

Daniel is survived by his son, Bill Cook of DeMossville, Kentucky, his brother, Harold Cook of Defiance and his beloved nephews, Mike and Keith Paschall of Defiance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie, his son, Daniel E. Cook. II, his twin brother, David Cook and two sisters, Susie Kohl and Joyce Paschall.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Perry officiating.
