Frederick Seal Obituary
He was born on August 26, 1956, to Frederick and Patricia (Rohda) Seal in Wauseon, Ohio. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and worked as a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 10 years. He then worked as a researcher for Charles River Laboratories for over 35 years. Freddie enjoyed gardening as well as going out to eat and spending quality time with his family. He will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
Frederick is survived by his siblings, Cheryl Liebherr of Zebulon, North Carolina, Edward Seal and Debra (Harry) McMillan both of Hamilton, Indiana, Lori Carroll and Linda Seal, both of Evansport, Ohio, his nieces, Kathryn Buelow and Annessa Wilcox, his nephews, Michael Flory, Daniel McMillan and Samuel Carroll, one great-niece, several great-nephews, and a special friend, Heather Thompson of Ashland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Stephen Seal and Edward Liebherr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral service following immediately at 1 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance with Pastor Nico Kinner officiating. Burial will take place at Evansport Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.

I had the great pleasure of working with Fred for over 10 years. Working side by side was always entertaining because of his immense knowledge of the area, history and anecdotes. He was generous when it came to sharing his work skills as well. We shared many good times in and outside of work and he will be greatly missed. My prayers and deepest sympathy go to his family at this difficult time. Fred was truly a gentle man.

So very sad to read of Fred's passing. I worked with him for almost 20 yrs. at Charles River and WilResearch. He was such a nice guy, always friendly and ready to engage in conversation. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. Fly high Fred, you will be missed.
