Lawrence Stout Obituary
He was born on July 31, 1953, to William and Ruby Jewell (Jones) Stout of Hazard, Kentucky. On June 19, 1982, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Betty" Anne Morvel who survives. They shared 40 years together. Larry honorably served our country in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a master sergeant. He was a loader for B-52s and F-16s and later retired as a supervisor. He did tours in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was stationed in Guam with his family for three years. Larry also traveled the world to different U.S. Air Force Base service stations to recover and repair military planes.
Larry was a lifetime member of the Liberty Center American Legion Post 6956. He enjoyed woodworking, vegetable gardening and watching the History Channel. He liked to watch Ancient Aliens and grew to like General Hospital. He loved anything that had to do with planes and of course his family. He loved his family and his country. Larry was a simple and loving man who will be dearly missed.
Larry is survived by his wife, Betty Stout; children, Edmond Joseph Stewart, William Jerome Stewart and Kimberly Carlton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; and brothers, John (Cookie) Stout, Jim (Julie) Stout and Kenneth (Marian) Stout. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Steve Morvel. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby Stout and brother, Bill Stout.
All funeral services were held privately at Walker-Hoening Mortuary of Napoleon. Larry was laid to rest with military honors at Grelton Cemetery. Memorials in Larry's memory may be considered to the American Legion Post 6956 of Liberty Center, Wounded Warrior Project, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
