ROSE ULSETH Obituary

ROSE ULSETH Rose Ulseth, 58, of Crookston passed away due to health complications on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Fargo, N.D., surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born on November 20, 1966, in International Falls, the youngest of four sisters to Frank and Connie Iraci. She was baptized, received her First Communion and was confirmed at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in International Falls. Rose attended St. Thomas Catholic School and was an active participant in various school activities, including band, as a manager for the swim team, and as a cheerleader for the boys' hockey team. She graduated from International Falls High School in 1985 before continuing her education at University of Minnesota Crookston, where she earned two associates degrees in executive secretarial administration and legal secretarial administration. Following graduation, Rose worked in several roles, including as a bartender at Northland Inn (now Crookston Inn), before transitioning to positions at TCF/American Federal Bank (1988-1997) and University of Minnesota Crookston (1997-2025) where Rose served as a specialist with the Office of Alumni and Donor Relations, a position she held with great pride and dedication for over 28 years. In 2023 she received the Distinguished Staff award at UMC. Rose was also a member of Minnesota Agri-Women and the clerk of Hammond Township. On June 25, 1988, Rose married Marc Ulseth in International Falls and together they raised three children: Allie, Colee, and Jacob. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, and she cherished her family above all else. She and Marc enjoyed many cherished memories together, including their time spent at the family cabin at Lake of the Woods, where Rose loved fishing and making memories with her loved ones and lake family. In her free time, Rose enjoyed golfing, shopping, and was known for her love of purses and lipstick. Always looking her best, Rose had an undeniable flair for fashion and style. Above all, Rose's kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She valued her family and friends deeply, and her laughter and presence will be missed by all who knew her. Rose is survived by her beloved husband Marc; children Allie Ulseth (Alex), Colee (Blake) Hanson, Grandchildren Adalyn, Hudson, and Emersyn Hanson, Jacob Ulseth (Whitney) Freyja; sisters: JoAnn Hursey, Antoinette Iraci, Virginia (Bill) Johnson, Carol (Tim) Melloy; mother-in-law Donna Ulseth; lifelong friend Patti and Bill Wilson; sisters-in-law Cheryl (Warren) Perela, Pam Grove, and Kathy Ulseth-Tenold; many nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members and friends. A memorial Mass honoring Rose's life will be held at Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to Mass. So sad I was to hear of her passing. We had only reconnected a couple years ago. We met through our mothers.
