Adele Shea Obituary
Sister Adele was born on April 12, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to Adelaide and Cornelius Shea who named their child Esther.
Sister entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame from St. Anselm Parish in Brooklyn and was professed in 1956. Education was her main ministry. She taught in elementary schools in varied areas of the Northeast, such as Brooklyn, Long Island and New Jersey. Sister moved to Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, CT in 1993 where she served as the Sacristan. Sister Adele Shea died peacefully on October 8, 2025, at 3030 Park Ave. in Bridgeport, CT.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, CT on Monday, October 20, 2025. Viewing is at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Bethel, CT
