Agapito Torre Obituary
Agapito F. Torre, age 74, of Key Biscayne, Florida, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in Miami Florida. Born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, he moved to Bridgeport, CT in 1961 and later lived in Fairfield, CT until 2009. Afterward, he resided in Key Biscayne, FL since 2009. He spent his lifetime working in the auto industry where he enjoyed success and later became a partner and owner of several new auto dealerships which included Volvo of Westport, Millennium Suzuki, and Chevrolet of Fairfield. In addition, he was also partner in a hotel called the Fairfield Inn in Connecticut. He will be remembered as a giving, generous and self-made individual, who cared deeply for his family, friends and his faith. He was preceded in death by his former spouse Mirella Perillo Torre Hernandez; sister Kiria Torre; and brother in-law Bebo Calero. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by loving son Jorge Torre and his wife Lisa Torre, son Alexander Torre; sister Dania Calero Torre, granddaughter, Vanessa Torre; former spouse Eva Torre Gonzalez, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 1:30 p.m. direct to St. Agnes Church, Key Biscayne, FL with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery, Miami FL. Friends may call or visit wake on Monday, August 11th from 4 to 12:00 a .m. at the Vior Funeral Home, 291 N.W. 37th Avenue Miami, Florida.
