Agnes Carroll Obituary

CARROLL Agnes Mary Carroll, age 92, died peacefully Sunday, April, 25, 2010 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was a resident of Middlebrook Farms In Trumbull. Born in Bridgeport, she was a twin and the youngest of nine children of the late John F. Carroll and Elizabeth Drew. She attended St Charles Elementary School, Harding High School and Housatonic Community College. She retired from Dictaphone (now Pitney Bowes) after 22 years in the accounting department. She was musically inclined and had written a patriotic song in the forties. She also enjoyed art and poetry and in 2001 had poems published in the book "Taking Flight. "She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Francis, Richard, William, and Thomas and by sisters, Mae, Elizabeth Hughes and twin, Margaret. Surviving are nieces, Ruth Ryan, Donna Schreiber and nephews, Kenneth, Drew, Samuel, Richard, Brian, and Ronald Carroll and Carroll and Jack Hughes. Friends may call on Wednesday, April, 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, April 29, at 10:15 a.m. in the Cyril Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11 am. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Ruth and Donna, and all of the other cousins.... it was so nice to see you during the services for Agnes......I wish it could have been under better circumstances, but with such a large family, it's difficult to keep in touch when there is such a distance between all of the relatives. The Carroll and Drew families are always in our hearts and prayers.

I new a Mrs. Carroll who lived in Nob Hill in Bridgeport for years. She was a kind women and was kind to my two sons at that time my last name was also Carroll. God Bless her.
